2007 INTERNATIONAL 4300
Navistar International developed the International DuraStar (formerly known as the International 4000 series) from 2001 to 2018, a range of medium-duty trucks. The International 4000 series, which ran from 1989 to 2001, was succeeded by the DuraStar series, introduced in 2008 as the series’ replacement. A regional-haul semi-tractor, the International TerraStar (2010–2015), was the smallest International conventional-cab product series, whereas the 4000/DuraStar (Class 6-7) was developed to be a stepping stone below the 8000/TranStar. This article focuses on the 2007 International 4300.
The 2007 International 4300 headlights are known for their “crescent form,” and the cab has a distinguishing “black patch” to help distinguish it from other pickups; the DuraStar stands apart. As both a semitractor and straight/rigid truck, the 4000/DuraStar has served in several capacities, including ambulances, tow trucks, flatbed trucks, and cargo vans. School buses and other commercial vehicles utilize the chassis in cowled chassis and cutaway-cab designs. A major overhaul was made to the International DuraStar for 2019 manufacturing, and the result is the International MV.
Performance and Fuel Economy
In addition to the Navistar International DT466 7.6L diesel engine, it is known as DT466E or MaxxForce DT. Its application in International 4300 medium-duty vehicles is the most well-recognized. However, the International DT466 has a broad range of applications. For more than four decades, the engine has been put to the test. As a result of its impressive strength on paper, this legend has earned its place in history. The DT466/MaxxForce DT, of course, confirms this in the real world as well. The name originates from the DT engine family and its 466 cubic-inch capacity. The displacement is achieved using an inline-6 design with a bore and stroke of 4.59′′ x 4.68′′.
They’re hefty yet exceedingly sturdy because of their cast iron blocks and heads. In all, the DT466 cylinder head weighs 250 pounds. The 7.6L diesel engine has a lot going for it; we’ll go back to that in a bit. For DT466 and MaxxForce engines, the B50 service life is 550,000 kilometers. Depending on the year and use, the engine may produce up to 300 horsepower and 860 pound-feet of torque.
Design
You’ve already got a window office, so why not make use of the additional room? There are approximately 40 inches of headroom and 30 inches of legroom in the DuraStar’s 82-inch-wide cab. Extra passengers and bench seats may be added to your on-the-job command center with an additional 26″ Everyone has plenty of space to move about, even on the longest of journeys, with over 40 inches of headroom and 82 inches of breadth. A big 44-inch extension, roomy rear passenger space, and rear cab doors that open fully at 85 degrees make it easy to round up the crew.

Frame rails that can withstand pressures up to 120,000 psi may be found in the practically unbreakable huck-bolted chassis.
Instrument Panel
You can’t rely on hunches while you’re working. To ensure the safety of the driver, the instrument panels are intended to be as simple to read as possible. The 82″-wide cab provides plenty of space for the driver and passengers, while the seats, steering wheel, and instrument panel are all ergonomically designed to alleviate fatigue.
