2015 Cadillac CTS

The BMW 5 Series, the Lexus GS, and the Audi A6 are just a few of the mid-size luxury sedans with which the 2015 Cadillac CTS competes. The CTS has seating for five passengers. Drivetrain options include rear-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as a possible upgrade. It is available in nine trim levels, each of which is called in part for its engine choices. Beginning with the 2.0L Turbo, it is offered in Luxury, Performance, and Premium trims. Luxury, Performance, and Premium variants of the 3.6L engine are also available, in addition to the 3.6L Twin Turbo Vsport and Vsport Premium models.

Performance

The 2015 Cadillac CTS has three engines: a turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 that produces 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque; a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V-6 that generates 321 horsepower and 275 pound-feet; and a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 that is rated at 420 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. All the engines are connected to automatic transmissions; the turbo-four is attached to a six-speed gearbox, while the V-6 engines are connected to an eight-speed transmission.

Fuel Economy

When equipped with rear-wheel drive, the I-4 engine achieves the best fuel efficiency, scoring 20/30 miles per gallon on the city and highway. The I-4 engine achieves 19/28 miles per gallon when equipped with all-wheel drive. When equipped with rear-wheel drive, the normally aspirated V-6 achieves an EPA-estimated 18/29 mpg, but when equipped with all-wheel drive, it achieves 18/26 mpg. Only the rear-wheel drive configurations of the 2015 Cadillac CTS sedan are available with the twin-turbo V-6 engine, and fuel economy is rated at 16/24 mpg.

Design

This four-door, now in its third generation, is finally large enough to compete with the Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and BMW 5-Series on their turf. At the same time, it has smoothed down many of the sharp edges passed down from Cadillac’s “Art & Science” cars from the early 2000s. It is impossible to miss the departure from the angle. The angle of the rear pillars and the contour of the side windows give the CTS an appearance that is very similar to that of the Benz E-Class when seen from certain angles.

Comfort

It further develops the rounded-off aesthetic Cadillac has been doing in previous years. You can tell by looking at the grille: it has a taller badge, but there is no wreath around it, and there are fewer ribs. LED lighting mounted vertically on the CTS pulls the car’s nose down toward the earth while also drawing the viewer’s attention upward and over the front fenders. It is a lighting signature that functions as effectively as the LEDs on the back ends of Dodge vehicles or the front ends of Audi vehicles.

Longer

The Cadillac CTS sedan for the 2014 model year is a longer automobile than the car it replaced.. The previous edition of the CTS was considered a “tweener” since it was situated between the realms of small and mid-size automobiles.

Safety Features

A wide variety of technological choices may improve safety. The Cadillac CTS comes standard with parking assist, which enables the vehicle to guide itself into perpendicular or parallel parking slots. Cautions of potential collisions in front of the vehicle may be requested, along with warnings for leaving the lane and adaptive cruise control.
